We accept bank transfers, and cash
You can either pay cash at the market, or do a bank transfer. We don't have EFTPOS.
Delivery
If you live nearby, we will happily deliver your chicks to your doorstep, for a small fee.
About Me
Hi, my name's Indie and I'm 15 years old. I have had chickens pretty much my whole life, and I love caring for them and hatching chicks, and collecting different breeds. I used to live in Mangawhai, Northland, then Byron Bay Australia for 10 years, and after that I was in Costa Rica for a year, and now I live in Tākaka, in the South Island of New Zealand. I've wanted to start a business for ages, and I wanted to do something thatI enjoyed, so I started The Hatchery.
Ordering
Place an order with me at the Tākaka market on a Saturday morning, or via email.
You can contact me via email, or place an order at the market for pick up from the market the following week. A 50% deposit will need to be paid. Also, a photo of your chicken's coop or enclosure will be needed. I like to know that my chickens are going into a nice living environment, with a clean living area, and access to grass, fresh clean water and food at all times.

Location
You can find us at the Tākaka market on Saturday mornings from 8 am to 1 pm and place an order there to pick up next week! We can bring the chicks to the market.
